The Glasgow Tourism Service Initiative launched earlier this year with an inspirational and motivational masterclass evening, attended by more than 40 businesses and organisations, including Radisson Blu, the SECC and Glasgow Science Centre.
Whilst enjoying a relaxed opportunity for networking, participants heard from prestigious speaker Gillian Thomson, the former head of global operations for Gordon Ramsay Holdings, who believes that empathy, mentoring, staff incentives and consistent quality are the keys to business success. The Masterclass was ably hosted by Jane Sunley, MD of learnpurple, talent retention specialists.
Both Gillian and Jane were also keen to offer practical examples of effective leadership for improved service, team motivation and business benefits.
