Congratulations to 5 new “Glasgow Welcomes” trainers

17 Feb 2011

Five high achieving tourism and hospitality staff in Glasgow have joined an elite network of Glasgow Welcomes trainers this month. The employees from the Crowne Plaza, Millennium, Blythswood Square and Cosmopolitan hotels each passed their quality assessment to become in-house trainers for the Glasgow Welcomes: Delivering Service Excellence programme.

Stella Callaghan, of Glasgow Service With Style, said: “It’s with huge delight that we can announce five more Glasgow Welcomes trainers. This is a terrific  achievement because there is a robust assessment process in place to ensure the  quality of the course delivery.

“We also know from previous achievers that this status can make an immense difference to morale and motivation in tourism and hospitality workplaces and we are keen to have more people apply to join our Glasgow Welcomes trainers course.”

The hotels where staff have already achieved the Glasgow Welcomes trainer status, including two from Glasgow Mariott, one from Radisson blu and five from Cordia, report an increase in motivation from team members.

The next opportunity to join the trainer network is next month. Places are open to qualified and experienced customer service trainers, for in-house delivery on a non-commercial basis. But as Callaghan points out: "Demand is already high for this course and we have only two places left so it’s a good idea to apply as quickly as you can.”
The Glasgow Welcomes Trainer Training Programme presents an opportunity to gain a licence to deliver the 1 day Delivering Service Excellence course to your own front-line staff in-house, helping to inspire them to deliver exceptional customer service, leading to increased motivation and ultimately, to increased sales.
The training will be followed by ongoing support from the Glasgow Welcomes Training Facilitator, with regular networking/update sessions with fellow trainers throughout the city, to share best practice, hints and tips.  All training materials are included, with no further cost for delegate packs for your teams.
To find out more about how to apply and further details of the two-day course on March 22 and March 29 see Train to be an In-house Trainer http://www.glasgowservicewithstyle.com/index.php/events/glasgow-welcomes-train-to-be-an-in-house-trainer1
