HIT Scotland seek awards nominees

07 Mar 2011

Are you passionate about the hospitality industry? Do you regularly go above and beyond your call of duty to provide excellent customer service and raise industry standards? If so, then why not send your nomination for the prestigious Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland lifetime achievement award?

Nominees can work in any sector of the Scottish hospitality, catering, leisure and tourism industry. Past winners have been both household names and unsung heroes, from lecturers to chefs and hotel chiefs.

Nominations close tomorrow so you will need to be quick with your application but it must surely be worth a little of your time to be in with a chance of gaining recognition for yourself and your employer.

Simply contact info@hitscotland.co.uk with a short personal note about why you think your nomination deserves the recognition.

The winner will be revealed at the charity’s industry dinner on March 24. Guests will also be in for a culinary treat with a dinner prepared by The Federation of Chefs Scotland’s competition culinary team.

More than 400 guests are expected to attend the event held at Glasgow’s Radisson Blu hotel in the city centre.

David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland, said, “The award is an opportunity to reward someone who is a great asset for our industry. In return they will act as a role model, inspiring future leaders of the industry.”

The recipient will join a list of deserving winners including last year’s winner Craig Stevenson, the owner and managing director of Braehead Foods; Peter Lederer, of Gleneagles Hotel, and Neil Thomson from Motherwell College.
