Launch of Service with Style Autumn Programme

Glasgow service with Style is delighted to announce a great autumn line-up of events, all of which offer low-cost opportunities for businesses to enhance their customer services.
With the Commonwealth Games fast approaching, many of the city’s tourism and hospitality businesses are working hard to improve the visitor experience – and to help to create a number one city destination.
The autumn programme of Familiarisation Tours. 
The GSWS Familiarisation Tours offer an innovative way for staff to find out more about Glasgow – and to benefit form being better informed about our city’s tourism attractions.
All of these tours are free to staff who work in the Glasgow tourism and hospitality industry.
Merchant City Familiarisation Tour on September 29: The Merchant City is a fascinating enclave of Glasgow, and offers an intriguing insight into the culture and trade history of the city. In more recent times, the Merchant City has become a highly cosmopolitan area – and offers a host of shops and entertainments. You’ll find out more a out the old and new attractions on this tour.
Mackintosh Familiarisation Tour on September 8: The world famous architect and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, is renowned worldwide. Find out more about the buildings in Glasgow that reveal his legacy and learn more about this iconic figure.
New Clyde Waterfront Familiarisation Tours on September 21: The Clyde Waterfront has undergone massive change over the past few decades. These days the area is home to some of the city’s top visitor attractions, including the newly opened Riverside Museum, the Tall Ship and the Glasgow Science Centre. Participants on this tour will have the chance to experience these attractions, while brushing up their knowledge about what the Clyde has to offer. 
Places are limited to 20 on each tour so be sure to book early.
  
Even more opportunities for service excellence 
The Glasgow Welcomes: Service Excellence Programme continues this autumn with a variety of innovative courses. The highly subsidised city-wide training is ideal for tourism staff and offers a wealth of benefits for boosting your business. See the forthcoming dates here. 
This week, Graeme Gibson, chair of GSWS and General Manager of the Radisson blu Hotel, endorsed the autumn line-up of events.
He said: “It’s great to see so many opportunities for businesses to improve the visitor experience and to encourage and motivate staff. So many more people are wearing the Glasgow service with Style badge and this is fantastic to see.”

With the Commonwealth Games fast approaching, and indeed some of next summer's Olympic events taking place in Glasgow, many of the city’s tourism and hospitality businesses are working hard to improve the visitor experience – and to help create a number one city destination. The goal is that visitors will stay longer, spend more, and not only return to Glasgow but become ambassadors for our city.
