New guide to knowing your visitors

17 Jul 2012

A new tourism and hospitality tool has been launched that will help businesses to really understand their visitors and guests. The Knowing our Markets 2012 guide, which has been created by Tourism Intelligence Scotland, offers a host of tips and advice about how to get to know your visitors or customers better – and what you can do to keep them coming back.

Of course, it’s vital to all thriving businesses to have increased visitor numbers and more return customers, but it’s not always easy knowing what works for visitors, what they like, what they are looking for and how to really wow them.

The Knowing our Markets 2012 guide, officially launched at the Scottish Tourism Alliance tourism strategy event last month, reveals a wide range of ideas for improving the bottom line of your business. You will learn how to:

  • Better understand who your visitors are, what they’re looking for and how to keep them coming back to you
  • Target new markets and get them excited about your business
  • Come up with ideas on developing new products and services with the ‘wow’ factor
  • Reach the right visitors in the right way and at the right time.

The guide also gives examples of what other businesses have done to maximise opportunities for improving the visitor experience.
