Glasgow Life commits to Glasgow Welcomes Training

Glasgow Service with Style is delighted by the news that six new staff at Glasgow Life have been awarded their Glasgow Welcomes In-house Trainer licences. The staff, who attended the two-day Glasgow Welcomes: Delivering Service Excellence course, passed the quality assessment with flying colours.
The Glasgow Life staff members will deliver the course to a number divisions, including Glasgow’s fantastic collection of museums, , including Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, the Burrell Collection, and the brand-new Riverside Museum, as well as galleries and leisure facilities. 
Teresa MacPherson, Learning Adviser at Glasgow Life, said: “We are really pleased that six of our staff are now able to deliver the Glasgow Welcomes service excellence course to a wider range of our own staff.
“This is a positive move and it means that we are part of the vital city-wide drive to raise service standards and enhance the visitor experience, working in partnership with other businesses and organisations across Glasgow.”
The Glasgow Welcomes course is seen as being of tremendous benefit to the city, and now forms an integral part of Glasgow Life’s preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
At GSWS, Stella Callaghan said: “Glasgow Service with Style is delighted with this positive partnership with Glasgow Life, given our status as Official Legacy Project for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
“It’s important that Glasgow’s leisure and sporting facilities and venues are fully prepared to provide a world class service to maximise the  opportunities that the Games will bring to Glasgow. 
“This is when the eyes of the world will be on our city – and we are thrilled that so many businesses are taking advantage of our courses to fully equip their staff with the skills for excellent service.”
The 21 Glasgow Welcomes In-house Trainers are reportedly busy delivering the programme to their teams across the city, from hotels to catering to visitor attractions.

The number of in-house trainers across Glasgow able to deliver the much-acclaimed Glasgow Welcomes course to their employees now totals 21.  

The Glasgow Life trainers will deliver the course to a number of their internal divisions, including Glasgow’s fantastic collection of visitor attractions, such as Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, the Burrell Collection, and the brand-new Riverside Museum, as well as leisure and sporting facilities.
