18 Oct 2010

An exciting culinary event is set to take place in Glasgow next month – and promises to be a highlight for Scottish chefs.

The Scottish Chefs’ Conference 2010 has signed up a wealth of culinary talent from across the world to share their skills and expertise with delegates.

For chefs attending the event on 1 November at the Thistle Hotel there will be the opportunity to:

  • Learn from the top chefs as they demonstrate their amazing culinary techniques and tips.
  • Meet suppliers to find out about the latest products and cutting-edge innovations for use in your kitchens and businesses.
  • Network and socialise with fellow chefs and associates.

The annual chefs’ conference has established itself as a must-attend event for chefs of all ages, abilities and experience so make sure you book your place as soon as possible. See Scottish Chefs’ Conference for info and to book places.

This year’s conference, now in its fifth year, welcomes:

  • Stephen McLaughlin – head chef at Andrew Fairlie @ Gleneagles
  • Top Australian chef Raymond Capaldi
  • World-class pastry chef Benoit Blin
  • Michelin-starred chef Alan Murchison
  • MBE-honoured Michael Caines and executive chef Craig Dunn from award-winning Abode.

Guests look forward to five-course conference dinner

The Thistle Hotel will also be the focus for the Conference Dinner on the same day. Guests will be in for a treat as they sit down to a world-class five-course menu prepared by the hotel’s kitchen team headed by Willie Pike.  The dinner package includes champagne and canapés, specially chosen wines and entertainment.
