The Glasgow Service with Style Masterclass Series 2011 focuses on delivering customer service excellence via presentations by innovative and exciting tourism industry leaders.

On February 24: Radisson blu in Glasgow plays host to the first of the GSWS Masterclasses: "Maintaining a Customer Focus Through Challenging Times".

You’ll hear from industry expert, Lesley Ballantyne, who is Director of Operational Development at John Lewis Retail. The store celebrated record sales over the Christmas trading period, and participants in this masterclass will find out how John Lewis bucked recent trading and economy trends to consistently deliver market leading bottom line results.

In particular, Lesley's Masterclass will focus on how the renowned customer service programme at John Lewis has played an integral role in achieving record-breaking results.

On March 23: The Corinthian in Glasgow hosts the second of the GSWS masterclasses entitled: "Delivering Outstanding Customer Service".

Jonathan Raggett, who is Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotels and the winner of the 2009 Catey Award for Hotelier of the Year, will talk about using outstanding customer service as a tool to drive sales and repeat business.

The Service Masterclasses are free to attend, however pre-registration is essential

The Masterclasses run from 6pm - 6.45pm with networking opportunities and refreshments from 5.30pm. Following the Masterclasses, guests are encouraged to take advantage of further networking opportunities when there will be canapés and refreshments on offer until 8pm.
